It's been 20 days since I went for pouch surgery. Why is the wound still a little red?
Nursing care of patients with pouch removal;

1. The next day after removing the bags under the eyes, the wound will have some pain, but it will gradually decrease with time. Don't take painkillers in a hurry, because aspirin drugs will aggravate wound bleeding.

2. Remove stitches 5-7 days after eye bags are removed. One day after stitches are removed, local hot compress can be applied to promote edema to subside as soon as possible.

3. Before removing stitches after removing eye bags, be careful not to wet the wound when washing your face, keep the wound clean and hygienic, and prevent infection.

4. Within 24 hours after removing the bags under the eyes, you can use an ice pack for local cold compress to prevent secondary bleeding of the wound and reduce edema. If the bleeding continues, you should go to the hospital for a follow-up visit in time.

5. After removing the bags under the eyes, it is necessary to have a quiet and comfortable environment with fresh and circulating air to avoid the head position being too low and aggravating the swelling of the wound. We should increase the intake of protein in our diet and eat more fruits and fresh vegetables to promote wound healing.
