The hospital is located in the old town of Yuexiu District, with a medical room area of 4,322 square meters, and health technicians 173, including 28 deputy chief physicians, attending physicians and supervisors (nursing and technical) teachers, with beds 1 piece, mainly treating patients with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, respiratory diseases, tumors and other elderly diseases and chronic diseases. Dongfeng Branch set up geriatric wards to treat all kinds of elderly patients with chronic diseases and provide low-cost and high-quality services for elderly patients and dying patients. The hospital has also established an information network management system, which manages outpatient expenses and hospitalization orders by computer, sets up an electronic display screen to announce drugs and inspection expenses, and implements a daily list of inpatients to facilitate patients to supervise hospital charges.

In the past two years, the hospital has invested nearly one million yuan to decorate the outpatient department and community health service center of Dongfeng Branch to provide patients with a more comfortable medical environment. In 2002, Dongfeng Branch was designated as the demonstration site of Guangzhou Community Health Service Center.
