At the top of the list is Emperor Wu of Song.
Born in poverty, Emperor Wu of Song became the founding emperor of the Southern Dynasties and was called the "Supreme Emperor of the Southern Dynasties". He did a lot of homework. The first batch is as follows.
(1) Reuse the poor and end the era of the dictatorship of the gate valve.
(2) Manage the country well: light taxes, throw away harsh laws, try lawsuits in person, revive education, curb the merger of powerful countries, and implement land termination.
(3) Together with the South, the South has been separated for a hundred years.
(4) Vivid Northern Expedition, recovering Huaibei, Shandong, Henan, Guanzhong and other places, and recovering Luoyang and Chang 'an.
Second, Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty.
Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty, whose prestige in China is not great, may be related to the death of Sui Dynasty II. However, in the west, he is called "the Emperor of China through the ages", and his great achievements must be higher than Kangxi Qianlong's.
(1) ended the division of China for more than 200 years since the May 4th Movement in 304, and completed the reunification.
(2) invading the north and defeating the Turks were honored as "Holy Khan".
(3) When Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty began to select officials by subject examination, the imperial examination system was formally established when Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty was Yang Di.
(4) In terms of internal affairs, the economy and people's livelihood are developing vividly, and taxes are frivolous.
Third, Chai Rong.
Chai Rong was the emperor of the Later Zhou Dynasty, and he reigned for only six years, but his achievements and mind will last forever. Future generations lamented that if Chai Rong did not die early, it would be very difficult to estimate whether he wanted the Northern Expedition.
(1) Economically, just look at the Song Dynasty. Because of the economic system of the Song Dynasty, many originated in Chai Rong in the later Zhou Dynasty.
(2) After many battles, Shu was defeated in the west, and Southern Tang was destroyed in the south, becoming the strongest force in China.
(3) At that time, the Khitan was prosperous, but Chai Rong was able to break the Khitan in the north and connect the two States and the three customs.
Fourth, Zhao Zhen.
Zhao Zhen is not the founding emperor, but assuming that China is the most famous emperor, he can at least enter the top five. Don't talk about his grades, just look at two things.
(1) During the reign of Zhao Zhen, there were many great men in the Song Dynasty: Fan Zhongyan, Han Qi, Fu Bi, Ouyang Xiu, Sima Guang, Wang Anshi, Su Shi, Bao Zheng, and so on, which can be described as celebrities. How many dynasties can people compare with them?
(2) After Zhao Zhen's death, Bianjing people's reaction was: "The capital city went on strike and cried for several days, although beggars and children burned paper money in front of ouchi and cried for several days". Later, it spread to Luoyang, where burning paper money led to "darkness", and even women in Shancun wore Dai Xiao hats to express their condolences.
This is the case at home. What about abroad? Liao country "Yan border people cry when they are near." Lu Ye Hongji, a Taoist priest in Liao Dynasty, cried and said, "I want to build a cenotaph for him to show my condolences." Later, the emperor of Liao Dynasty "respected the imperial power as the ancestor".
Fifth, Zhu Shitang.
Zhu Shitang is a legendary emperor. Because of the Ming history compiled by the Qing Dynasty, the Ming emperor had a bad reputation. But in fact, many emperors in the Ming Dynasty were excellent, but they were just smeared.
(1) is very generous, diligent in political affairs, attaches great importance to justice (he wrote "Rules for Punishment" and "Ming Hui Dian"), and makes amends in time. His period was called "Hongzhi Zhongxing".
(2) The former history is highly appraised. During this period, many die-hard officials in the Qing Dynasty, such as Zeng Guofan, once said: "Since ancient times, British kings and philosophers have always been prosperous. Such as Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Emperor Wendi of the Tang Dynasty, Song Renzong, Yuanzu and Mingxiao. "
(3) Marry only one woman for life. Can an ancient emperor do that? Zhu Youtang has five children, not just the one mentioned in unofficial history, who was born because of physical discomfort.
Ladies and gentlemen, which of the five most despised emperors in history do you admire most?
