Zhengzhou Eighth People's Hospital was established in 1957. After more than 50 years of development, there are more than 300 employees and more than 400 beds, covering an area of 46,000 square meters. It is the only national psychiatric hospital in Zhengzhou. It integrates prevention, treatment, medical treatment, rehabilitation, teaching and community service. At present, it is a designated hospital for the new rural cooperative medical insurance in provinces and cities, a designated hospital for the judicial appraisal of labor, mental disability and mental illness, a voluntary drug rehabilitation center in Zhengzhou, an affiliated unit of Zhengzhou Mental Health Association, a teaching practice base of Xinxiang Medical College, a training base of Feng Te Psychological School in Zhengzhou, and a national long-distance training base for psychological counselors.
