Young trees should be pruned lightly, mainly by shaping. In order to make the crown form early and put into production early, four methods can be used, such as wiping buds, putting branches, picking tips and thinning branches, by using the multiple buds and terminal buds of orange trees. The cultivation of backbone branches adopts three or four grades, that is, the main branches leave 3-4 main branches and each main branch leaves 3-4 auxiliary main branches. 5- 10 leaves are reserved for new shoots when young leaves are just developing. Generally, there are 6-8 leaves in spring shoots, 5-7 leaves in summer shoots, 8- 10 leaves in autumn shoots and 1-3 leaves in crown tops. Adjust the growth balance between main branches by cutting degree and cutting direction, except for over-dense branches, inner cavity branches and weak branches in the middle and lower part of the crown, which should generally be retained.
2, fruit pruning:
(1) The peripheral vegetative spring shoots in the middle and upper part of the crown and leafy fruit branches with more than 5 leaves were thinned out. From the fruit setting period to the middle of July, the growth of summer shoots should be strictly controlled to reduce physiological fruit drop. Erase the summer shoots when they stop growing and spread leaves, or leave l~2 leaves for coring, or cut them off with base branches. Autumn shoots are released in the low peak period when the climate is suitable and liriomyza sativae occurs. All the late autumn buds that can't mature normally have been erased.
(2) For young trees with vigorous growth and no flowering, strip-shaped or annular grooves should be opened at the drip line of the tree crown during the physiological differentiation period of flower buds (from mid-September to late June of 10), and the thickness of root cutting should reach 0.5~37.5px, then the roots should be trimmed and cut off, dried for 30~60 days, and filled when the leaves are slightly curled. Fill with deep organic fertilizer.
(3) 65, 438+00 ~ 65, 438+05 days before the release of autumn shoots, and in the first half of July, remove the big top fruit on the periphery of the middle and upper part of the crown or cut it off with sepals to release autumn shoots and replace the tender branches with fruits.
