"The Bourne Supremacy"
Plot Summary
Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) has no past and perhaps no future. On the verge of death, he was rescued from the sea by an Italian fishing boat. After recovering from the physical trauma, he found that his memory was blank. The experience at sea gave him amnesia. He only remembered that he was drifting on the Mediterranean Sea, and the bullets in his body made him feel incredible. There are almost no clues, and he is a complete mystery. The microfilm hidden in the muscles under the buttocks proved that he had undergone plastic surgery to change his appearance. In addition to this, there are some strange things: during his temporary mental confusion, he will always say "J.B", which seems to be an abbreviation of the code; a set of numbers written on the film negative is actually a four-digit number. A Swiss bank account containing millions in cash, owned by Jason Bourne, but has been recorded as dead.
Opressed by this series of maddening mysteries and struggling with the memories buried deep inside, Bourne vaguely felt that he was an accomplice of Carlos, the world's most dangerous killer. But this time he was attacked by a hired killer. No one can help him except a member of the Italian resistance named Marie (Franca Potente). Although Bourne now has no identity or background, fortunately he still has special fighting talents, language talents and self-confidence. He desperately carries out investigations to find out who he is.
Protagonist: Bourne (played by Matt Damon)
Matt Damon was born into a wealthy family in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. His father is a tax official and his mother is A university professor, he also has an older brother. When he was 10 years old, he met Ben Affleck. Ben is two years younger than Matt and they live in the same neighborhood. Become friends quickly. He dreamed of being an actor since he was a child, and after graduating from a private high school in Cambridge, he entered Harvard University to study drama. In 1993, he left Harvard early and went to Hollywood to pursue his dream of stardom. He made his screen debut in a brief role in "Mysterious Pizza." In the following three years, he did not receive any scripts. Feeling the failure of several years and the difficulty of becoming famous, he contacted his good friend Ben Affleck to pick up a script he had not completed in college. The script was written as an assignment for Matt Damon's English class and was eventually rewritten into Good Will Hunting. After the script was completed, the two went around looking for producers. Finally, Miramax took a liking to it and gave it to Garth von Sant to direct, with Robin Williams starring.
"Good Will Hunting" was produced in 1997 and achieved great success, but Matt Damon had attracted the attention of the industry before that. In 1996, Matt played a drug-addicted soldier, Alario, in the film "Life and Death". Many critics praised his performance in the film and the sacrifices he made for his role in the film. However, compared with the praise caused by "Good Will Hunting", these praises are too conservative. Matt's outstanding performance in "Good Will Hunting" and the subsequent Oscar win established him in Hollywood and attracted numerous film offers from production companies. As a result, he landed major roles in two blockbusters the following year. The first one is "The King of Kings" directed by John Doyle. In the film, he plays a casino master who is determined to change his ways, regardless of the temptations of his old friends. Although the film had a strong cast and strong early publicity, both critics and audiences were disappointed with the film. However, "Saving Private Ryan" starring Matt Damon in the same year was a huge success. Matt Damon shared the kind words of praise for the film and its all-star cast.
In 1999, Matt Damon starred in "The Talented Mr. Ripley", starring three big stars: Cate Blanchett, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jude Law. And "The Wrath of Crime" allowed Matt to break through the positive roles he has always played. The film became one of the most controversial films of 1999.
When he opened newspapers and magazines, he was constantly reminded of things like "the hottest star" and "the star of tomorrow". It can be said to be a spring breeze. He also frequently appears on the covers of various magazines. In this regard, Matt has always maintained a clear understanding: the recognition of critics is of course valuable, but whether he can win the audience in the next few films is the most important.
