What is a "stamping process"?
Stamping process is a metal processing method based on metal plastic deformation. By applying pressure to the metal sheet by using dies and stamping equipment, the metal sheet is plastically deformed or separated, so that parts (stamping parts) with certain shapes, sizes and properties can be obtained.

Stamping process plays an important role in the manufacturing process of automobile body, especially for large-scale automobile body panels, because most of them have complex shapes, large structural dimensions, some have spatial curved surfaces and high surface quality requirements, it is incomparable to manufacture these parts by stamping method.

The cab of a truck, front sheet metal parts, cargo compartment panels, various body panels of automobiles and various skeletons of passenger cars are almost all stamped.

trait

(1) stamping is a processing method with high production efficiency and low material consumption. Stamping technology is suitable for mass production of parts and products, which is convenient for mechanization and automation and has high production efficiency. At the same time, stamping production can not only strive to achieve less waste and no waste production, but also make full use of scraps in some cases.

(2) The operation process is convenient, and the operator is not required to have a higher skill level.

(3) Generally, stamping parts do not need to be processed, and the dimensional accuracy is high.

(4) Stamping parts have good interchangeability. The stamping process is stable, and the same batch of stamping parts can be used interchangeably, without affecting the assembly and product performance.

(5) Because the stamped parts are plates, their surface quality is good, which provides convenient conditions for subsequent surface treatment processes (such as electroplating and painting).

(6) Parts with high strength, high rigidity and light weight can be obtained by stamping.

(7) The cost of stamping parts produced in batches by molds is low.

(8) Stamping can produce parts with complex shapes that are difficult to process by other metal processing methods.
