Historical evolution of Union Medical College Hospital affiliated to Fujian Medical University
The Union Medical College Hospital affiliated to Fujian Medical University was formerly Willis F. Pierce Memorial Hospital. Fuzhou Shengjiao Hospital founded by 1860 and Fuzhou Ma Keai Hospital founded by 1877 were merged. It is the birthplace of modern medicine in Bamin.

195 1 year, the hospital was officially taken over by the Fujian Provincial People's Government and renamed as Fuzhou China Union Medical College Hospital.

1959 became the affiliated hospital of Fujian Medical College, trained and transported a large number of medical talents for Fujian Province, and successively stepped out of the pioneers of various medical disciplines in Fujian Province, and was known as the "cradle of medical talents in Fujian". At the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, it was renamed "Anti-imperialist Hospital".

1969, the hospital was cancelled and most of the staff were decentralized.

1984 with the approval of Fujian provincial people's government, the organizational system was restored.
