Operation method of T50 automatic potentiometric titrator in mettler toledo, Switzerland.
Hello, dear users,

Simple Operation Procedure of mettler toledo T50 Titrator

I. Overview

T50 titrator adopts touch screen operation, automatically and intelligently identifies titrant and electrode, multi-language and multi-user operation interface, burette resolution of 0.5μL( 10mL burette), and "building block" editing mode, and the recording conforms to GLP specifications.

The use environment should avoid strong vibration, direct sunlight, strong electric field or magnetic field, the air humidity is not more than 80%, and the temperature is 5℃ ~ 40℃.

Second, the preparatory work

1, connecting all parts of the instrument;

2, titrant bottle should have enough titrant;

3. Open the electrode cover and observe the filling liquid in the electrode. The liquid level of the filling liquid in the electrode should be about one centimeter below the electrode cover;

4. Install the required electrodes, paddles and titration heads on the titration stand;

Third, the operation steps

1. Turn on the instrument switch (located at the upper right of the front of the instrument) and conduct the instrument self-inspection;

2. Install the burette on the corresponding drive (T50 is installed on the drive 1, and T70/T90 can be any drive); After the burette is installed, the instrument interface will automatically pop up a dialog box to identify the burette, check whether it meets the experimental requirements, and click "OK" if it meets the requirements; If you want to change the titrant, click Modify to enter the titrant modification interface, click Titrant Name column, manually enter the titrant name or click the suggestion at the bottom of the screen to select the titrant name, enter the theoretical concentration of titrant in Titrant Concentration column, and enter the concentration coefficient of titrant in Titration column;

Note: ca actual = c theory * titration

3. Rinse the burette path with titrant for 5 times, and discharge the rinsing liquid; The operation is as follows: manual operation → intelligent identification of burette → flushing → select driver (the driver where burette is located, the host comes with driver I, followed by driver 2)→ enter 5 in the flushing cycle column → click the start button, and the instrument begins to run. If the titrant does not need to be discharged, insert the feed tube with the anti-diffusion head into the titration bottle, circulate the titrant, and observe whether there are bubbles in the pipette and feed tube. If yes, if it has not been used for a long time during titration, it is recommended to discharge a tube of waste liquid before circulating operation;

4. Click the shortcut named "SZ" in the main interface to run the acid value detection method ("JZ" is the calibration electrode method and "NaOH" is the calibration NaOH method); Realize one-key titration.

5. Enter the sample number in the sample number;

6. Click the sample data button at the bottom of the screen, and then click sample 1 in the pop-up sample data interface, enter the corresponding number in the sample identification column, and enter the sample quantity in the sample quantity column. Then click the conical bottle pattern on the upper right of the screen to enter the next sample input interface, input the sample data in turn, click OK twice, and click the Start button to start the titration operation. If the instrument settings or titrant are wrong, the instrument will give an error prompt.

7. After the test is completed, click the "Result" button in the lower right corner of the analysis interface to view the result information (or click the "Result" button on the left side of the main interface to view the result information);

8. After titration, if it is no longer used, click the "Exit" button at the bottom of the main interface to close the titrator according to the prompt.

9. Remove the burette from the solvent bottle;

10, remove the electrode, cover the electrode rubber sleeve, and soak the electrode in the electrode protection solution;

1 1. Clean the titration cup and turn it upside down in a ventilated place for reuse.

Four. Precautions and maintenance

1. When the piston at the lower end of the burette is loaded into the burette, it must be sleeved on the drive rod;

2. The acid-base electrode should be cleaned with water before each use, and the liquid level of the filling liquid in the electrode should be lower than the electrode cover 1 cm or so; The measuring range of this electrode is: pH = 0 ~ pH = 14. The temperature range is 0 ~ 70℃.

3. The service life of the electrode is about 6 months to 3 years, depending on the specific use;

4. When the burette is filled with alkaline titrant, it needs to be fully cleaned with pure water when it is not used for a long time (pull out the burette piston and repeatedly clean the burette with pure water);

5. When writing your own calculation formula in the method, be clear about the corresponding meaning of symbols:

Veq- the number of milliliters of volume consumed when the titrant reaches the end point.

Ask-

C constant

Titration-concentration coefficient Titration of titrant

C labeled titrant concentration mol/L

M- sample, grams or milliliters.

Q = VEQ * c * titer
