How to trim hibiscus?
Hibiscus branches have strong germination ability, and timely pruning can not only keep the tree neat, but also blossom more. Generally, after the flowers wither every year, long branches, pests and diseases, thin branches, cross branches and overlapping branches are pruned to promote the germination of new branches and more flowers. For plants that have been flowering for 2 ~ 3 years, they can be pruned once every 1 ~ 2 years, leaving 2 ~ 3 buds at the base of each lateral branch and cutting off all the upper parts to promote the germination of new branches, so that the growth will be more vigorous and the flowers will be more vivid. Because the hibiscus flowers on the new branches of that year can sprout more branches and bloom continuously only by constantly promoting its vigorous growth. Therefore, thin fertilizer should be applied frequently in cultivation to promote its vigorous growth and more new branches, so as to achieve the purpose of more flowers. Fusang is propagated mainly by cutting. When the cuttings grow to a height of about 20 cm, the core will be removed, which can promote the germination of axillary buds at the base. When axillary buds germinate new branches, select 3-4 new branches with consistent and uniform growth, and cut off the rest.
