Huaian (Chinese: Huaian; Pinyin: huá i' ā n), commonly known as Huaiyin (Chinese: Huaiyin; Pinyin: huá iyΡ n) Before 20065438+0, it was a prefecture-level city in northern Jiangsu Province, People's Republic of China (PRC). Ancient China

1957 Xin' an administrative office was formed by the merger of Guanyun County and Lianshui County, and was later renamed guannan county. The county number reaches 1 1.

Huaiyin County was merged into Qingjiang City in 1958, and Qingjiang City was renamed Huaiyin City, which was under the jurisdiction of Huaiyin District. At that time, there was a city and 10 counties.

However, in 1964, Huaiyin City was renamed back to Qingjiang City, and Huaiyin County was restored, but the county office was located in Qingjiang City.

Suqian was promoted to a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province on 1996, and Shuyang, Siyang and Sihong counties were placed in Suqian City, while guannan county was placed in Lianyungang City. After the adjustment, Huaiyin City has jurisdiction over five counties, namely Huaiyin, Lianshui, Jinhu, Hongze and Xuyi, and two districts, namely Qinghe and Qingpu, which belong to Huai 'an City.

Huaian city
