Orchard selection
Mulberry planting should ensure that there is no pollution source, which can make mulberry grow rapidly and improve fruit yield and quality. If you choose a plot with flat terrain, deep soil layer, fertile soil, sufficient water and convenient irrigation and drainage, you need to maintain acidic soil. In addition, temperature is the key to mulberry germination. Planting in sunny and warm places is easy to produce high yield.
plant
Put the mulberry seedlings to be planted in the planting ditch, stretch the taproots, then fill the surface soil with a small amount of decomposed and diluted fertilizer, and pour in an appropriate amount of water to cultivate the soil for 2-3cm, so as to promote the growth of the mulberry seedlings and keep the tree stable.
Water and fertilizer management
Mulberry fertilization is very important. Apply sufficient decomposed organic fertilizer at seedling stage to promote seedling growth. At the early stage of fruit, compound fertilizer 15~20kg/ mu should be applied to promote fruit growth. Spraying potassium dihydrogen phosphate on mulberry leaves at flowering and fruiting stage can improve the quality of mulberry leaves. In autumn, we should apply less nitrogen fertilizer and more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to ensure the safe overwintering of trees. In winter, sufficient decomposed farmyard manure can be applied to improve the high yield of mulberry in the coming year.
Picking and pruning
If you want high yield of mulberry, you should pay attention to picking your heart. When the trunk seedlings are 30~35cm long, they are dried at a fixed height of 20~25cm, and then the heart leaves are picked to promote flower bud differentiation. Pay attention to pruning vigorous branches when pruning, which is beneficial to the production balance of trees.
Eliminate pests and diseases
The main diseases and insect pests of mulberry are inchworm, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and brown spot. Usually, more attention should be paid to spraying with 3 waves of meishi sulfur mixture to prevent the occurrence of pests and diseases. Spraying 70% thiophanate methyl or 75% chlorothalonil at flowering stage to control Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and brown spot of rape. The control effect is good.
The above are the planting methods and scientific management methods of mulberry seedlings. If we want to increase the output of mulberry, farmers need to strengthen planting management to avoid the occurrence of diseases and pests.
