Wenzhou People's Hospital, formerly known as Wenzhou Third People's Hospital, was founded in September of 19 13, and was formerly a church hospital founded by Catholic Charities.

1966 was named Wenzhou Third People's Hospital.

1994 became the first "baby-friendly hospital" awarded by the World Health Organization in Wenzhou.

In 2000, Wenzhou Maternity Hospital was established with the approval of the municipal government.

In 2003, with the approval of Zhejiang Provincial Health Department and Wenzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Wenzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital was established.

In 2005, Wenzhou Health Examination Center and Wenzhou Cadre Health Committee Office were jointly established.

At the end of 2008, it became the third clinical college of Wenzhou Medical College.

20 12 passed the evaluation of the third-class first-class general hospital at the beginning of the year, and was renamed as Wenzhou People's Hospital in July of the same year.
