Capitalization of cheques shall conform to the language habits of China and shall be prevented from being altered.

Annex I "Basic Provisions for Correctly Filling in Bills and Settlement Vouchers" of the Measures for Payment and Settlement stipulates as follows:

"When there is 0 in Arabic lowercase numbers, Chinese capitalization should conform to the Chinese language rules, the composition of numbers and the requirements of preventing alteration."
