What are the surgical treatments for uterine prolapse?
According to the patient's age, fertility requirements and general health status, combined with the severity of uterine prolapse, the following five surgical procedures can be selected:

① Repair of anterior and posterior vaginal wall: It is suitable for patients with vaginal prolapse's degree I and II.

② Manchester operation: repair of anterior and posterior vaginal wall, shortening of main ligament and partial cervical resection. It is suitable for patients with younger age, longer cervix, second and third degree uterine prolapse, and vaginal prolapse, who want to preserve the uterus.

③ Transvaginal hysterectomy and vaginal anterior and posterior wall repair: It is suitable for the elderly patients with ⅱ and ⅲ degree uterine prolapse and vaginal anterior and posterior wall prolapse, without preserving uterus.

④ Vaginal septoplasty: It is suitable for the elderly and infirm who can't tolerate major surgery and the uterus is not suspected of malignant transformation.

⑤ Uterine suspension: It is rarely used.
