What should we pay attention to when pruning pear trees in protected cultivation?
The common tree form for pear cultivation in greenhouse and greenhouse facilities is double hedge or Y-shape. It can also take a scaffolding shape or a happy shape.

The wall shape of double hedgerows is mostly used for varieties with vigorous new buds and easy to form short fruit branches and axillary flower buds after slow growth. The height of the stem is about 50 cm. After the stem is fixed, pull 3 ~ 4 long branches horizontally around, leaving no central stem. The height of trees should be controlled at 2 ~ 2.5m, which generally requires a space of 50 ~ 100 cm from the roof, and the results of rotation cutting should be updated by pruning with long branches. When pruning in summer, attention should be paid to controlling the occurrence of erect branches.

Y-shape has the advantages of fast formation, early fruiting and sufficient light, and is mostly used for varieties with weak branch growth but many branches, which are easy to form secondary branches and have strong continuous fruiting ability. The height of the stem is 40 ~ 60 cm. It is best to choose the third and fourth main branches cut as the main branches, and the two main branches are pulled to both sides respectively and extended to both sides. Erase all the extra shoots and buds except the two main branches to promote their rapid growth. The main branches are mainly cultured branchlets. In summer, the erect branches should be drained as soon as possible, and the erect branches are not suitable for cultivation.
