1. Method of water cultivation of duck's foot wood

1. Propagation by water cuttings: cut semi-lignified parts from old plants There are leaf base segments with more than 2-3 nodes, about 10 cm long. Cut off the lower leaves, leaving only the upper 1-2 palmate compound leaves. Immerse the lower 2/3 in a glass vessel filled with clean water. Place it in a bright place indoors and keep the temperature above 15°C. Usually, white callus begins to form at the lower lenticels and base notches that are immersed in water for about 10 days, and adventitious roots will soon differentiate from these places. After about 45 days, the base section of the water transplant will produce roots of more than 6 cm, and white root hairs will grow. At this time, normal management can be carried out.

2. Change from soil cultivation to hydroponics: Carefully take out the soil-cultured duck's foot wood from the soil, clean the soil on the roots of the duck's foot wood, and plant it in a transparent glass bottle filled with clean water. (Tap water needs to be stored for 2-3 days). In the early stages of hydroponics, the water should be changed every 2 or 3 days, and the temperature should be kept above 15°C. By giving appropriate light to the hydroponic duck's foot tree, you can grow a plant with green leaves on the outside and white roots inside the bottle. It is elegant, clean, hygienic and very attractive.

2. Hydroponic duckfoot cultivation method

1. Change the water: Change the water once a week, every time Adding some hydroponic plant nutrient solution when changing the water can make the hydroponic duck's foot tree grow better. The water level should not be too high, and do not soak the trunk of Schefflera wood.

2. Temperature: The suitable growth temperature of duckfoot wood is 15-25℃, and it can also grow above 30℃. The overwintering temperature should not be lower than 5℃, otherwise the leaves of Schefflera will fall off. Pay attention to ventilation at ordinary times.

3. Light: The growth of duck's foot wood requires sufficient light. Abundant sunlight can make the leaves of duck's foot wood bright. Although the duck's foot tree is shade-tolerant, its leaves can turn dark green in semi-shade. However, you still need to bask the duck's foot tree in the sun regularly, but avoid exposure to the hot sun in summer.

4. Pruning: The duck's foot tree grows quickly, so attention should be paid to shaping and pruning.
