Brief introduction of skeleton country
1995, Samuel whitfield, an American black journalist, went to South Africa to interview the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, an apartheid investigation organization led by former Anglican Archbishop desmond tutu. The purpose of their hearing is not only to find out those barbaric crimes, but also to fight against racists with the victims. During this period, Langston met with Anna Malan (Juliette Binoche), a white South African journalist, who was also covering the hearing for the radio. In the interview, they had to face the bloody facts. It is difficult to find the source of killing and hatred. In the long racial vendetta, both whites and blacks paid blood and lost their humanity. Langston and Anna changed from initial incomprehension to mutual support and developed feelings for each other. However, Langston finally flew back to the United States, and his work was far from over, because the killing caused by hatred still existed in this land.
