A trip to Gongyi (original by Fan Nier)
On the morning of October 3rd, the wind was sunny and sunny. My father, mother, and Aunt Wang and I went to Gongyi to play. Very excited.
We saw Xiaolong Pond and Snowflake Cave on Fuxi Mountain. The Xiaolong Pool is made up of two small dragons circling and spraying water at each other. Behind it is an octagonal pool with more than 20 springs. The spring water is crystal clear. Part of the spring water is used to irrigate farmland, and the other part is used by farmers for cooking. The water is very cool and I feel much more awake as soon as I touch it. We saw many magnificent landscapes in Snowflake Cave again. The stalactites on the roof of the cave look like long swords and like thick pillows hanging from the top. The bunches of round little beans on the cave wall are like bunches of small grapes; the clusters of stone flowers are like plum blossoms in bloom. There are also many stone flowers beside the sidewalk, like blooming wild mushrooms. Many large white jade stones are like icebergs, or like the white waves stirred up by the turbulent water in the river and then quickly solidified. Under the guidance of the guide, we saw a big male lion and a small lion. There was a tall jade tower next to them, just like the male lion was about to climb the tower. We saw another snake fossil protected by a transparent cover. Those snake fossils were thin and long, like little snakes emerging from their shells.
In the afternoon, we went to see the Songling Tomb, which is the tomb of the emperor of the Song Dynasty. There were nine emperors in the Northern Song Dynasty. My mother said there were seven emperors and eight tombs here. Why? Because the last two emperors were captured by the Jin soldiers and died in Mobei. The first emperor buried his father here, so it is the Seven Emperors and Eight Tombs. The Yongding Mausoleum we saw is the tomb of the third emperor. It is the most complete one. Most of the other tombs have been destroyed. Yongding Mausoleum is guarded by many stone military officers, civil servants, stone sheep, stone lions, auspicious birds, warriors, horses and horse officers, and foreign envoys. As soon as we entered the Yongding Tomb, we saw overgrown weeds and few tourists, making it feel particularly desolate.
This trip to Gongyi allowed me to gain a lot of experience in nature and learn a lot of knowledge.
I really hope to go and see it again!
