During his stay in Macao, he painted a watercolor painting entitled "Macau Scenery from the Offshore", depicting the urban landscape of Macao in the18th century. At the same time, it also shows Britain's covet for Macao and becomes an important evidence of Macao's history and Sino-British relations.
