Behind Qingchengshan Town, there is a beautiful hill called Yaowangshan. The statue of Sun Simiao, the "King of Medicine", stands at the foot of the mountain, as if telling tourists about the origin of Chinese medicine here.

According to legend, Sun Simiao, the "drug king" of the Tang Dynasty, visited Qingcheng Mountain in his later years and found that there are abundant vegetation and evergreen seasons here. There are one or two hundred kinds of medicinal materials that can be used, including many rare medicinal materials.

So he studied pharmacy while practicing medicine and collecting herbs in Yaowangshan area of Taiping Factory, and finished his important medical work "Qianjin Fang Yi". According to the Old Book of the Tang Dynasty, "I wrote Laozi and Zhuangzi, and wrote 30 volumes of Qian Jin Fang, 3 volumes of Fu Lu Lun, 1 volume of Life Photo, 1 volume of Ping Shu in Pillow and 1 volume of Three Religions."

According to the Records of Yaozhou, Sun Simiao wrote Laozi's Note, Zhuangzi's Note, Qian Jin Fang 30 volumes, Qian Jin Fang Yi 30 volumes, Qian Jin Fang Mu 20 volumes, Qian Jin Yue Ling 3 volumes and Qian Jin Shou Lun 1 volume.

As well as two volumes of Nourishing and Prolonging Life, one volume of Miscellaneous Notes on Health, one volume of Retirement Records on Health Inscriptions, two volumes of Forbidden Classics, one volume of Shenzhen Prescription, one volume of Nourishing Five Organs and five volumes of Physician's Notes. There are more than 20 kinds of Sun Simiao's books in Tang Shu (referring to New Tang Shu), Daozang and Tongzhilue.
