Four Common Traumatic Scars
1, convex scar
Scar is obviously higher than the surrounding normal skin, with local thickening and hardening, and the surface of hypertrophic scar is red, flushed or purple. In the period of scar hyperplasia, itching and pain are the main symptoms.
2, concave scar
Contrary to convex scar, the surface of concave scar is obviously lower than the surrounding normal skin, which is mostly caused by wound healing or serious purulent infection of skin, subcutaneous tissue or deep tissue defect.
3. Atrophic scar
The surface layer is a layer of atrophic epithelial cells, which are flush with normal skin or slightly atrophied, brown or white, with thin scar tissue and clear boundaries with normal skin.
4. Pigmented scar
This kind of scar is more common in skin damage and infection after falls and abrasions. After inflammatory stimulation, the wound heals and leaves this scar. Generally, the appearance is slightly rough, the color is darker or lighter than normal skin, and the local area is hard.
Daily preventive measures for traumatic scars
After leaving scars, we should adjust our mentality, because bad emotions will lead to the secretion of stress hormones in the body. The circulatory mechanism of the skin will also be disrupted, leading to decreased immunity and affecting scar repair.
The wound left by trauma should pay attention to skin cleanliness and hygiene, wipe sweat in time, and do not scratch with hands, wipe scars with clothes or burn with hot water to stop itching, so as not to cause local irritation and promote inflammatory reaction of connective tissue.
Avoid the invasion of bacteria, especially women who love beauty, and avoid the irritation of cosmetics to wounds. Because all kinds of cosmetics contain essences, pigments, preservatives and other ingredients, these ingredients contain heavy metals such as lead, mercury, iron and formaldehyde, which irritate the skin and aggravate scar itching.
Avoid excessive friction and excessive activity. Because the scar surface structure and function are not perfect, the epidermis is more vulnerable to damage. If you scratch the wound at will and rub it excessively, the epidermis and fiberboard layer will separate, forming blisters or blood blisters.
In the process of scar treatment, it is forbidden to eat a lot of irritating food, such as pepper, onion and garlic, wine, seafood, beef and mutton, etc.
It is best to take a parasol when going out to avoid excessive ultraviolet radiation and enhance wound pigmentation.
Balanced nutrition, usually eat more protein food such as eggs and lean meat, and supplement foods such as vitamins C, E and essential amino acids. These foods can promote blood circulation and improve the metabolic function of epidermal cells.
