When to plant calcium fruits and how to cultivate and manage them.
Calcareous fruit, formerly known as cherry blossom, is a deciduous shrub of Rosaceae. It is an important wild tree species in the northern mountainous areas of China. Because of its high calcium content, it is 3-5 times that of ordinary fruits, and it is known as the third generation of new fruits. Chimonanthus praecox is a pioneer tree species to control desertification and barren hills, which plays an important role in promoting agricultural economic development in mountainous areas of China. Calcium nut has strong adaptability to natural conditions and huge root system, which has broad application prospects and planting value. It is a good project to improve the ecological environment and increase farmers' income. Then, when should calcium fruits be planted and how should they be cultivated and managed?

Planting time

The best planting time of calcium fruit is before the bud expands in spring, and from the end of February to the beginning of March in Jinzhong, Shanxi. This can ensure that some fruits will be hung in the same year, and the seedlings in nutrient bags can be planted in May and June, so that the seedlings can grow to 30-50 cm in height in autumn. Tissue culture seedlings should be planted with nutrient soil, and the soil should not be scattered when planting. After planting, fasten the plastic shed (the row spacing between plants can be 20×30 cm) so that the seedlings can gradually adapt to the changes of the external environment. Generally, the small bow shed can only be gradually opened in early May. ② Plant spacing: high density 0.5m ×0.5m, medium density 0.5m ×lm and low density lm ×lm. Planting method: Dig a pit with a depth of 50cm and a width of 40cm on the whole and ploughed land, fill the pit with topsoil mixed with organic fertilizer, and step the seedlings on the inside of into the pit while filling the soil, so that the root position of the original seedlings is consistent with the surface. Calcium fruit should not be planted too deep, otherwise the growth of seedlings will slow down.

Planting techniques of calcium fruit

Calcium fruit is not strict with soil, and all kinds of soil meet its production requirements. The row spacing of plants is 1m × 1m, and cluster shaping can be used in production. There are about 10 branches, 7-8 basic branches and 2-3 biennial branches, and the new basic branches of 10- 15kg are selected as regeneration branches every year, with 60 fruits per plant. Calcium fruit has strong resistance to pests and diseases, and there is almost no disease. When aphids occur, dimethoate can be used to control them.

1, land selection and preparation:

Calcium fruits can be planted on flat land, sloping land or the edge of terraced fields. Before planting, the selected plots should be deeply ploughed and fertilized, and 3-5 cubic meters of organic fertilizer should be applied per mu. The flat land can be made into small ridges with a width of 0.4 meters. The length of the ridge depends on the land to be managed in the future. When the slope is not big, it can be planted according to the contour line. When the slope is large, it needs to be turned into a small terrace with a width of about L meters. When choosing land, it is best to choose semi-sunny slope or sunny slope land. In shady areas, calcium fruits are easy to be peeled in winter, so it is best not to plant them. When planting on the ground edge, weeds and shrubs on the ground edge should be removed.

2, seedling planting

Preparation before planting: It is best to prune the roots of calcareous seedlings, cut all the lateral roots into new stubble, and cut the roots longer than 30cm into 20-25cm. After planting, soaking roots with rooting powder can improve the survival rate.

3. Post-planting management:

(1) Water topdressing: water it once the day after planting, and water it again within 5-7 days after this watering. When the soil surface is slightly dry, loosen the soil immediately and cover it with plastic film. Weeds planted beside calcium fruits are often shoveled.

Except ... Where conditions permit, nitrogen fertilizer (Trim) can be applied to each plant when the branches are most flourishing.

(2) Pruning: After planting, the seedlings should be appropriately shortened above the ground, and the branches with a thickness less than 1 mm should be thoroughly thinned. Branches with a length of 30cm should be cut to 25-30 cm, the trunk of seedlings should be kept at 30-40 cm, and the undeveloped area at the top is about 5- 10 cm. Generally, in the first year, underground germination 1 root bud is far from the mother plant, and in the second year, there are L-2 roots, and the seedlings will depend on the development of the main cluster. Generally, the main branches are completely renewed in 3-5 years, and the new main branches are mainly cultivated with newly grown roots. The fruiting branches can bear fruit at will, or they can be shortened to 15-20 cm, depending on the branch thickness.

(3) Thinning flowers and fruits: Calcium fruits are easy to blossom. Generally, the basic branches can blossom and bear fruit from the third section of the base. Each section can bloom 2-8 flowers, and most of them have 3-5 flowers. So there are too many flowers, and some buds or flowers need to be thinned. Finally, there are about 25 healthy branches (2 branches) of 30-40 cm, 15-. The yield per plant is 150-200, the yield per plant is 2-3kg, and the yield per mu is1000-1500kg.

(4) Pests and diseases control There are few pests and diseases of calcium fruits, and 3-degree sulfur mixture can be sprayed before germination to control diseases. Pests are mainly aphids, which can be controlled by 2.5% effort or imidacloprid.
