The hospital pays attention to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine and highlights the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, puts forward the strategy of "giving priority to the development of traditional Chinese medicine characteristics", and initially forms the discipline construction pattern of grass-roots Chinese medicine hospitals with "specialties in hospitals, specialties in diseases and specialties in diseases". In 2006, this hospital was listed as the national key specialty of traditional Chinese medicine by state administration of traditional chinese medicine, which filled the blank of the national key specialty of health system in this county. Through several years' efforts and development, the hospital has gradually formed six specialty specialties, such as liver disease of traditional Chinese medicine, orthopedics and traumatology of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, obstetrics and gynecology of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, acupuncture and massage, tumor of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, and won the recognition of local people in Yuhuan by virtue of its unique curative effect and low cost.
