Clivia
First, adjust the placement direction of flowerpots regularly. Clivia flowerpots should be rotated regularly on 180, with a rotation period of about 7 days in peak season and 10 days in off-season.
Second, for Clivia plants with irregular leaves, mechanical shaping and light shaping can be used for treatment.
1. Mechanical shaping: one is to clamp the inclined blade and the adjacent upright blade together with a small clamp (pay attention to pad soft paper at the clamped position to prevent the blade from being clamped), and the inclined blade can basically return to the upright position after a period of time. The other is to bend two bamboo strips with the same length and thickness into an arch shape, and then insert them into the inner edge of the flowerpot along both sides of the fan-shaped leaves of Clivia to form a clamping force. When the strength is insufficient, a thin rope can be tied between two bamboo sticks.
It should be noted that mechanical shaping is easy to cause the blade to break or be damaged, so be extra careful when operating.
2. Illumination setting: Cut the opaque cigarette tin foil (or other thick opaque paper) into the same length and width as the leaves, then fold it in half longitudinally from the middle to cover half of the leaves tilted by sunlight, and then stick the tin foil on the front and back of the leaves with transparent tape. After 10 to 15 days, the crooked leaves were corrected. This method will not damage the blades, and it is simple and practical.
It should be noted that when the center line of the corrected blade is basically consistent with other blades, the wrapped tin foil should be removed in time, otherwise it will be overcorrected.
