How to cultivate begonia
Begonia flowers vary from species to species, and can be propagated by sowing, cutting, rooting, rhizome and so on.

Sow bulbs, begonias, etc. It is easy to sow and can be sown and propagated. /kloc-sow in greenhouse from 0/to February (the room temperature at home is low, but it is ok from March to April), so new shallow pots should be selected. Before sowing, level the plain sand, soak it in water, mix the seeds with fine sand and sow it evenly, cover it with glass without covering the soil, and put it in a semi-shady place to keep the basin soil moist. Room temperature 18 ~ 2 1℃, 15 ~ 25 days. When 2 ~ 3 leaflets grow, bare roots can be planted in shallow pots, and the pot soil is mixed with plain sand and culture soil with a spacing of 2 ~ 3 cm. When the seedlings grow to about 3 cm, put them on a pot with soil, and gradually increase the pot diameter when pouring the pot.

Cutting propagation is generally carried out in a humid environment around 20℃, and the temperature exceeds 25℃, which is easy to rot. The bed can be inserted in a large flowerpot, wooden box or seedbed, and coarse sand or vermiculite is the best.

Branches are mostly used for begonia with fibrous roots such as bamboo joints and silver stars. The cutting length of excellent and robust mother plants is 8 ~ 10 cm, and the lower leaves are cut off. The cutting depth is about 1/3 cutting length. After insertion, cover it with plastic film or glass to keep the air humidity and shade it by 50% ~ 70%. If coarse sand is used as cutting soil, water should be sprayed every day; Use vermiculite and other cuttings with strong water retention, and spray water once every 2 ~ 3 days. The temperature is 2 1 ~ 25℃, and it can take root and take out the pot in about 2 weeks. You can also soak the lower half of the cut cuttings in clean water. When the water is turbid and white, it is replaced with water with the same temperature as the raw water. After about 3 weeks, it can take root and sprout, and make pots out of plain soil. Leaf cutting: it is mostly used for begonia with hairy leaves, such as begonia hairy leaves. Choose strong and mature leaves, cut off the main vein with a knife every 2 ~ 3 cm, lay the leaves flat on the washed plain sand bed, bury the petiole in the sand, press some sand on the surface of the leaves to make the back of the leaves contact with the sand, and pay attention to frequent water spraying to keep the bed surface moist. When the temperature is 2 1 ~ 25℃, it takes about 40 days to take root at the transverse incision of the vein. In addition, the leaves can also be cut into triangular pieces along the main vein and inserted vertically into the sand bed, or they can take root and sprout. The technical requirements of leaf cutting are high and the survival rate is not high.

Separate the root tuber from the rhizome. Before the buds grow in early spring, separate the tuberous roots, such as begonia bulbifera. Divide the root into several pieces, each with one or two buds. Coat the incision with charcoal powder or sulfur powder, and plant it after the incision is slightly dry. Begonia pilosa is also rooted in spring. Because of the low reproduction rate, except for excellent varieties, segmentation method is rarely used.
