I. In-ear soft ear mold

Advantages: good sealing, suitable for extremely severe hearing loss, strong howling prevention ability, good stability and not easy to fall out.

Disadvantages: the wearing comfort is average, and the new ear mold is difficult to bring in because of the high friction. Sometimes it needs to be lubricated with eye ointment to bring it in. The plasticity is poor, and the sound end cannot be further processed. The sound tube that runs through the ear mold is easy to age and harden after a certain period of use. At the same time, the tube at the joint between the sound guide tube and the ear mold is easy to crack (this is related to the child pulling the ear mold with a hearing aid). The production price of soft ear mold is relatively high.

Second, the ear canal soft ear mold

Ear canal soft ear mold is used less by children and more by adults. Except for relative comfort, other conditions are basically the same as in-ear soft ear mold.

Third, in-ear hard ear mold

Advantages: Because the surface is smooth, it is relatively easy to insert when wearing, and it is suitable for severe and extremely severe hearing patients with good plasticity. The sound outlet can be treated in a targeted way, such as opening the horn, which is beneficial to the natural amplification and promotion of high frequency; Increasing the length of the sound hole and reducing the diameter of the sound hole can increase the amplification of low frequency. There is an elbow between the ear mold and the pipeline (the imported elbow is of good quality), which reduces the phenomenon of sound tube breakage of the soft ear mold, and at the same time, the sound tube of the hard ear mold is convenient to replace after aging. Except for children with heavy hearing, it takes some time to replace them because of their physical development. The hard ear molds for young and middle-aged people and the elderly have a very long service life and the production price is relatively low.

Disadvantages: it is comfortable to wear, and it is easy to have a sense of oppression on the helix, concha and tragus of the auricle if it is not made properly, and these parts have a sense of oppression on the cartilage because there is no subcutaneous tissue at the auricle for a long time.

Fourth, the ear canal hard ear mold

Compared with the in-ear ear ear mold, it is more comfortable to wear and increases the pressure on the ear cartilage, which is suitable for patients with moderate and severe hearing loss. If the hearing conditions are available, a vent can be made, which can effectively improve the ear blocking effect of patients and enhance the naturalness and comfort of listening. Of course, what kind of ventilation holes are made is also particular. Generally, vent holes parallel to sound transmission holes are commonly used, because such vent holes have little influence on high-frequency amplified signals.

Disadvantages: For patients whose hearing is lower than 60 decibels, or especially those whose low frequency is almost normal and whose high frequency is poor, quite a few people still feel the sound is blocked or stuffy.
