Born in Deyang, Sichuan, 1947, he is the direct grandson of disciple Lu. He studied medicine with his great-uncle (Lu's son) when he was young. It can be described as a disciple of Zheng IV and one of the third generation descendants of Lu Men (He and Lu). In this respect, Lu Chonghan is probably the most successful descendant of Vulcan method among contemporary doctors.

Now he is a professor at Chengdu Medical College and a representative of the contemporary Vulcan school, known as "Lu Vulcan". This scientist is Lu Chonghan.
