The green radish just bought from the flower shop is covered with lush leaves, which are big and shiny and very beautiful. But in the hands of Huayou, a large number of yellow leaves fell and rotted in a few months. Finally, they can only look at the empty pots and lament, and even suspect that they are the "killers" of green plants or that they are not suitable for raising green plants at home. In fact, raising green radish is not that difficult. Master these three points, you don't need to wash rice water to buy organic liquid fertilizer, and then explode the pot after the empty pot comes back to life.
1, remove yellow leaves correctly.
Generally, newly bought green radish needs a certain adaptation period to the new environment. The length of this adaptation period is determined according to the similarity between the new environment and the original growth environment of the green radish, ranging from one month to one week. It is normal for the bottom leaves to turn yellow during the adaptation period, because the new leaves of radish have been consuming nutrients, and the radish in the adaptation period has not absorbed enough nutrients. Although there is no need to make a fuss about the yellow leaves at the bottom, the yellow leaves or dead leaves should not be peeled off directly from the stem, but should be cut off from the middle of the petiole, because peeling off directly from the stem will cause more loss of water and nutrients, and the wound is easy to be infected with germs, thus causing the upper leaves to continue to turn yellow. This is the reason why our green radish Harrison peeled more yellow and Huang Yue peeled more, and all of them were bare and empty in the end.
2. Willing to trim
Any green plant cannot flourish without pruning. Because all plants follow the law of apical dominance in the growth process, all nutrients are given priority to new leaves and new buds, while the old leaves at the bottom are gradually aging and falling off, especially when the supply of water and fertilizer is insufficient, the nutrients in the old leaves will be transferred to the new leaves, thus accelerating the yellowing and falling off of the old leaves. Therefore, the stems of green radish that are not trimmed are easy to grow bald, leaving only a few leaves.
Pruning green radish is easy. When the green radish grows too long, the stem of the green radish is about 15cm, and the rest are all cut off, so as to promote the germination of more new branches and the replacement of old Ye Gengxin, maintain a perfect ornamental plant type, and do not envy the stem. In addition, if there are dead leaves, yellow leaves and weak branches with small stems and leaves, all of them should be cut off, so that nutrients can be concentrated on the branches and leaves with good growth, so as to avoid the overall poor growth caused by nutrient dispersion.
Of course, the cut branches can also be replanted in the new pot of green radish, but it is not advisable to replant them in the original pot to avoid incision infection and spread to other healthy branches.
3, often spray water
Green radish likes wet, not only the soil is wet, but also the air around the leaves is wet. Spring, summer and autumn are the growing seasons of green radish. Always keep the soil moist and avoid drying. While fully watering, we should also pay attention to spraying water on the leaves frequently to keep the humidity of the air around the leaves appropriate, so as to facilitate the stretching and growth of the leaves. At the same time, it can also wash away the dust on the leaves, enhance photosynthesis and keep the leaves bright and green.
After reading these three points, does it feel simple? There is no need to wash rice water or buy any organic liquid fertilizer. It can easily make the green radish burst for a long time. Interested friends try it.
