Occasionally, other family members ask senior nurses some questions, but this family member directly asks Mr. Zhang if he has any questions. I feel frustrated because patients and their families don't trust me, but at the same time, I also know that this is inevitable. What I have to do now is to adapt to the working environment here as soon as possible, get familiar with various operating procedures and common disease nursing routines, and improve my communication ability with patients. Every patient here needs a venous indwelling needle, and I also need to learn more standardized puncture methods and fixation methods.
In the third week, I really saw the patients who had nose and skull base surgery. Although I read the postoperative nursing routine in the textbook, there is still much to be learned in patient education and patient handling ability. But I know the teachers are very kind. As long as I learn from them, I will certainly learn good specialized nursing knowledge.
Teacher Xie also organizes league building activities to promote mutual understanding between teachers and me. After that activity, I felt that I was not so strange to the teachers, which also laid the foundation for me to adapt to the environment in the department.
