The hospital was founded in June of 195 1, and its predecessor was the third branch of the rear hospital of China People's Liberation Army Plain Military Region. 1May, 957, it was named as Henan Psychiatric Hospital by Henan Provincial Health Department. In order to cooperate with the teaching work of Xinxiang Medical College, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College was added in March, 1994. 20 10 in order to adapt to the development of mental health, the hospital added Henan mental health center. The hospital also uses the names of "Henan Psychiatric Hospital, Henan Mental Health Center and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College".
