There are gains and losses in everything. I also want to study psychology, but some things, once learned, are boring. Or because you see too many unhappy people, you become depressed and unhappy. What's more, you may lose confidence in society, family and interpersonal relationships, and it will be very painful to help others without helping yourself.
However, everything has two sides. Helping an unhappy person out of the trough, that kind of happiness and satisfaction, I think, will also make you happy and satisfied.
My suggestion is that if you are a determined person, it is a good choice to be a psychiatrist. After all, such a society has too many people who need to talk and help, and it has great development potential. However, if you are sentimental, forget it.
Giving and getting coexist, see which one you think is more important.
