★ Eye plastic surgery - post-operative precautions
1. To prevent postoperative bleeding and excessive swelling, after the operation, use the palm of your hand to gently compress the upper and lower eyelids through the dressing. For about an hour, continue the pressure for half an hour to an hour after an interval of 15 minutes.
2. Local cold compress can be used within 24-48 hours after the operation to stop bleeding and reduce swelling. The method of cold compress is to use wrapped ice cubes through the dressing for 15 minutes each time and 5 minutes apart. -After 10 minutes, continue cold compress for 15 minutes.
After 24 hours, remove the covering dressing, wipe away eye secretions with a sterile cotton swab, and apply eye drops or ointments. Then continue with gauze dressing.
4. If there is slight pain after the operation, there is no need to take painkillers; if severe pain, redness and swelling occur, you should contact the doctor in time and do not handle it without authorization.
5. Some beauty seekers need to take a certain amount of antibacterial drugs as directed by their doctor.
6. After surgery, you should open and close your eyes appropriately, exercise the upper and lower eyelids, and raise your head when sleeping to facilitate local recovery and swelling reduction.
7. The sutures are usually removed about 6 days after the operation, and the swelling begins to subside in 4-5 days. It takes about 3 months, sometimes to half a year, to completely subside.
