Method of making steel tube frame by SolidWorks
Create a new part, click "3D Sketch" in the "Sketch"-"Sketching" drop-down menu, and sketch the frame with tools such as "Line". Note that the space sketch line is drawn along the XYZ axis. If you want to change the direction, press the Tab key to switch.
Right-click the blank space of the toolbar above the software, find "weldment" in the drop-down menu, click to enable the "weldment" toolbar, and click "structural member" on it.
Select the structural member you need, and then click on the lines of the 3D sketch, and the structural member will be automatically generated. It should be noted here that the dotted line is not all clicked at once, but grouped. For example, there is a group of four tendons on the ground, and another group of four tendons stands vertically on it (after clicking a group, click the "New Group" button to create a new group), so that there will be no mistakes in the joints between pipes. Just try the specific operation, and the text here is not clear.
After all structural members are installed and confirmed, the frame model as shown in the figure can be obtained. It can be found that the structural component is placed with the drawn 3D sketch line as the center line, so if the drawn line bends, the structural component will also bend along the sketch trajectory.
