Team is an indispensable part of total quality management. The essence of total quality management is the improvement of working process, and the participation of employees is the key to improve working process. In other words, TQM requires managers to encourage employees to enjoy their ideas and take actions according to their suggestions. Without a team, all kinds of total quality management processes and technologies can't play a role. These technologies and processes need high-level communication and exchange, response and acceptance, coordination and arrangement.

Determine goals and "champions"

Because TQM is too complicated, you can't influence it unless it takes the form of a team. When designing a team to solve quality problems, the management should set five goals: the team should be as small as possible to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its operation; Appropriate training for the necessary skills of team members; Give the team enough time to solve the problems they intend to solve; Give them the power to solve problems and take correct actions; Give each team a "champion" to help the team solve possible problems in team work.

In order to achieve the above objectives, generally speaking, there are three main types of quality management teams:

Quality Improvement Team or Quality Excellence Team (QITS). These groups are temporary groups set up to deal with specific problems that often occur, usually for 3 to 12 months.

Problem solving team (PSTs). These groups are temporary groups set up to deal with some specific problems and identify and overcome the causes of these problems. They usually set 1 week for 3 months.

General working groups (NWT) These working groups are composed of small groups of skilled employees who undertake work tasks and responsibilities. These groups use the concepts of employee participation group, self-management group and quality cycle, and these groups usually have 1 to 2 hours working time in 1 week.

"division of labor does not divide families"

As an organizer, we must first create an atmosphere, work with tacit understanding, give full play to productivity, and find the feeling of "but I feel the harmonious heartbeat of the sacred unicorn" among the employees. Secondly, eliminate unnecessary work boundaries, cultivate the cooperative spirit of employees as a whole, and formulate some rules in the team, so that everyone can form the habit of "having division of labor without division of labor" and "supporting each other and working hard". Thirdly, we can't ignore anyone in the team, so that every member has room for self-development. No matter what role you play in the enterprise, every job you have has an interface with others, which means that your work needs the help of others. If you want to get help from others, you must help others first.

Learn to appreciate others.
