The Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital (30 1 Hospital) was founded in 1953. It is a large modern general hospital integrating medical treatment, health care, teaching and scientific research, directly under the Joint Logistics Support Force of China People's Liberation Army. The hospital is an important medical and health care base of the central government, which undertakes the medical care of many system units and officers and men such as the Military Commission and the headquarters, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of difficult diseases referred and evacuated by various military regions and services. At the same time, the hospital is also the Medical College of the People's Liberation Army, which focuses on postgraduate education and is the only hospital-running unit in the whole army.

China People's Liberation Army 309 Hospital was established in 1958, and was merged into the PLA General Hospital in May 2004. It is called the 309 Clinical Department of the General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the Second Affiliated Hospital of the General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In August 2009, it was renamed the General Hospital of the PLA General Staff. 20 18 was officially renamed as the Eighth Medical Center of the General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
