Lijiang People's Hospital is located in Fuhui Road, the political, economic and cultural center of Lijiang City. It is the center of medical treatment, first aid, emergency medical assistance, medical teaching and scientific research in Lijiang. It is the only national "Class III B" general hospital in the city, and it is a non-profit hospital. It is one of the pilot units of medical system reform and institution reform in our city.

In recent years, the construction and management, quality and service of hospitals have been continuously improved and developed. In 2006, it was rated as an "advanced unit" of ideological and political work in Yunnan health system by the Party Group of the Provincial Health Department, and was rated as a "March 8th" red flag collective in Yunnan Province by the Yunnan Women's Federation. In 2007, it was listed as the first batch of "medical ethics demonstration hospitals" in Yunnan Province by the Provincial Health Department, awarded the title of "National General Hospital Chinese Medicine Work Demonstration Unit" by the Ministry of Health, awarded the title of "Women's Civilized Post" by the All-China Women's Federation, and commended as "Home of Model Workers" by the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions. In 2008, it was awarded the advanced unit of "Hospital Management Year" in Yunnan Province from 2005 to 2007 by the Provincial Health Department. In May 2009, our hospital was awarded the title of "Home of National Model Workers" by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and the ICU was named "2009 Yunnan Youth Civilization" by the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League.
