Tongji Medical University is a medical college under the Ministry of Health, located in Wuhan, Hubei. Its predecessor was/kloc-0, the "German Medical College" founded by Dr. Baolong in Shanghai in 1907, and/kloc-0 was renamed as the National Tongji University Medical College in 1927. 195 1 moved from Shanghai to Wuhan in and merged with the Medical College of Wuhan University, and was named Zhongnan Tongji Medical College; Tongji hospital was founded in 1900 and moved to Wuhan. Together with Hankou Union Medical College Hospital founded by 1866, it belongs to the school as an affiliated hospital. 1955 was renamed Wuhan medical college, and 1985 was renamed Tongji medical university. 1In August, 1996, the Ministry of Health and Hubei Province jointly established Tongji Medical University, and Liyuan Hospital was affiliated to the school as an affiliated hospital. 1997 1 month, the school passed the evaluation of "2 1 1 project" jointly established by the Ministry and the province.
