What wounds can be sutured in the first stage, and why should they be sutured in the first stage?
According to the degree of pollution, the size and depth of the wound, it is decided whether the wound is open or closed, whether it is primary suture or delayed suture. The clean wound that does not exceed 12 hours can be sutured in one stage; For large and deep wounds, drainage strips should be placed during primary suture; Wounds with heavy pollution or incomplete debridement in special parts should be sutured later, that is, vaseline gauze should be placed in the wound for drainage after debridement, and sutured after 4 ~ 7 days. If the wound tissue is rosy, there is no infection or edema.

The head and face are rich in blood supply and strong in healing. Although the injury time is long, as long as there is no obvious infection, we still have to strive for primary suture.

When sewing a wound, there should be no dead ends and no too much tension. Important vascular injuries should be repaired or anastomosed; Repair and suture the broken tendon and nerve trunk. Exposed nerves and tendons should be covered with skin; Open joint cavity injury should be thoroughly cleaned and sutured; Thoracoabdominal open injury should be thoroughly debrided, and drainage tube or strip should be placed.
