Wei Wei
Wei Wei (1920.1.16~2008.8.24) was born in Zhengzhou, Henan and a member of the Communist Party of China. Contemporary poet, famous prose writer and novelist, graduated from Yan'an Anti-Japanese Military and Political University. Wei Wei's original name was Wei Hongjie, and he used the pen name Hong Yangshu. Born in Zhengzhou, Henan on March 6, 1920, he joined the Eighth Route Army after the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War in 1937, and joined the Communist Party of China in 1938. At the end of 1950, he went to the Korean front line and lived and fought with the volunteers. After returning to China, he published a number of literary newsletters, among which "Who is the Loveliest Person" caused widespread influence across the country. Since then, "the cutest people" has become synonymous with the volunteer army. In 1978, he wrote and completed the novel "The East" with the theme of resisting U.S. aggression and aiding Korea. In 1983, he won the first Mao Dun Literature Award. After his death in August 2008, Wei Wei's mourning hall was set up in the courtyard of the Beijing Military Region, and public condolences were accepted from the 26th. The farewell ceremony for the body was held on August 30 at Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery.
