The Palace in the Southern Song Dynasty was built on the former site after Song Gaozong Zhao built the capital of Hangzhou in the Northern Song Dynasty. It starts from Fengshanmen in the east, reaches the west foot of Fenghuang Mountain in the west, reaches Tiaowan in the south and Wansongling in the north, 4.5 kilometers away from Fiona Fang.
Song Cheng Road at the foot of Phoenix Mountain in the south of Hangzhou. There are three doors in ouchi, namely Li Zheng in the south, Hening in the north and Donghua in the east. In the imperial city, the palaces are towering and dazzling. There are 130 temples, halls, pavilions, etc. , such as the Golden Throat Hall, Diaojiaolou, Xuande Hall, Funing Hall, Qinzheng Hall and Retro Hall.
In addition, there are gorgeous royal gardens, all the way to the top of Phoenix Mountain. In the 14th year of Yuan Dynasty (1277), it was burned out by a civil fire, and it was in ruins in the Ming Dynasty.
At present, there are military buildings, Hangzhou cigarette factory and other large buildings and houses on the site, and the national cultural relics department is conducting archaeological excavations. There are many stone carvings and stone scenes in the Royal Garden of Phoenix Mountain, which is planned as "Southern Song Dynasty Forbidden City Ruins Park".
Extended data:
1983, the archaeological team of Lin 'an City, which was jointly established by the Archaeological Institute of China Academy of Social Sciences, the Provincial Archaeological Institute and the Municipal Archaeological Institute, was formally established, and the exploration and investigation of the imperial city site in the Southern Song Dynasty was officially launched.
The archaeological team was surprised to find that there was a palace wall outside East China Pharmaceutical Factory, which was exposed and slightly raised, with a height of about 1 m and a width of about10 ~12m. It is a delicate and solid rammed earth building, vaguely covered with thin soil.
It turned out that the dilapidated Fenghuang New Village (East China Pharmaceutical Factory, Cigarette Factory and other dormitory units) south of Wansongling Road clung to the northern wall of the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial City.
In the next 20 years, the archaeological team successively tried to dig in several key parts, such as Nanxing Bridge, the east side of Brahma Temple and Song Cheng Road, and determined the positions of the east, north and south walls of the Imperial City.
According to the text of "Planning", the four areas of the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial City have been identified as follows: from Shantou Mountain in the east, from Fenghuang Mountain in the west, from Song Cheng Road in the south and from Wansongling Road in the north.
The longest distance from the east-west right angle of the Imperial City is about 800 meters, and the longest distance from the north-south straight line is about 600 meters. It is an irregular rectangle with an area of nearly 500,000 square meters, while the area of the Forbidden City in Beijing is about 720,000 square meters.
Archaeologists believe that the interior of the imperial city can be divided into two parts: the interior of Miyagi and the exterior of Miyagi, based on the interpretation of ancient documents such as Du Nangong and the analysis of the topography, axis, roads and water system of the imperial city.
Miyagi is divided into Zhaohui District, Houshui District, Houyuan District, Palace Service District, Donghuamen Palace District and Cining Palace District. Outside the palace, there are mainly Beigongmen, Donghuamen Service Area, Donggong District and Neifu Yamen District.
