4. There will be "ectropion" after the operation. If too much skin is removed during pouch surgery, ectropion may occur, which is generally caused by inexperience during surgery. However, sometimes slight eversion may occur in early edema after skin excision, and it will gradually recover after 1-2 weeks. Moderate and severe ectropion generally requires reoperation.
