Is it illegal to tattoo minors? Is it compensation?
No violation of the law, no compensation.

At present, China's laws and regulations do not prohibit minors from tattooing, but are based on the legislative principles and spirit of China's civil code and the law on the protection of minors 1; The society should create a good living environment, learning environment and social environment for the growth of minors and give them special protection. On the one hand, tattoos will damage the health of minors, on the other hand, they will have a direct impact on minors' future employment, joining the army and applying for public office. Minors belong to people with limited capacity or without civil capacity, and their control ability and discrimination ability have certain limitations; We can't correctly judge the harm and adverse consequences brought by tattoos. Bullying the mother, as the legal guardian, fails to fulfill the legal guardianship obligations of education, control and family protection, and should bear the responsibility. As the main body of business, tattoo shops should bear certain social responsibilities, carefully identify the age and actual ability of tattooers, and can't just provide tattoo services and charge fees according to their requirements. Helping minors to get tattoos should bear legal responsibility. Minors can't correctly understand tattoos, which will have adverse effects on their health and personal interests. If they blindly follow the trend, tattoo of minors should be an invalid civil legal act. Therefore, it is obviously wrong for tattoo shops to carry out large-scale tattoos for minors on the premise of knowing that they are minors and based on commercial interests. The owner of the tattoo shop should take the initiative to apologize and bear the corresponding legal responsibility.

Legal basis:

Article 19 of the Civil Code

Minors over the age of eight are persons with limited capacity for civil conduct, and the implementation of civil legal acts is represented by their legal representatives or recognized and ratified by their legal representatives; However, civil legal acts that are purely beneficial or suitable for their age and intelligence can be implemented independently.

Article 84 of the China People's Liberation Army Internal Affairs Ordinance stipulates that soldiers are not allowed to get tattoos during their service. As for civil servants, the people's police can't get tattoos.

Article 4 of the Special Standard for Physical Examination of Civil Servants stipulates that tattoos are unqualified.
