Bearing heat treatment refers to the metal heat treatment process of heating the whole workpiece and then cooling it at an appropriate speed to change its overall mechanical properties. When it comes to heat treatment, we have to mention the industrial "four fires", namely annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering. These are the four basic processes in heat treatment, among which quenching and tempering are closely related, and they are often used together and are indispensable.
The general heating temperature of bearing is 80 C ~100 C. When the inner diameter of bearing is greater than 70mm, or the fit interference is large, it is generally heated before hot sleeve to swell the inner hole of bearing. Usually, bearings are heated to 80°C, and the highest temperature is100 C. Exceeding120 C will lead to bearing tempering, reduce the hardness and accuracy of bearing rings, and affect the service life of bearings. The heating temperature can also be calculated and determined according to the assembly environment temperature, bearing material, matching diameter, interference and minimum clearance of hot fitting.
