Huachu sent three teams of pre-school, senior one and senior two to participate in three competitions with different themes. Among 253 teams from all over the country, the preschool team won the first place in the junior high school group with the theme of "jungle teenagers", the junior high school team won the second place in the junior high school group with the theme of "float parade" and the junior high school team won the first place in the junior high school group with the theme of "transfer technology". OM activity has always been one of the early traditional activities in China, and it has achieved excellent results in national competitions for many times. Since 2003 alone, it has won the first, sixth and third place in the country. The school advocates mainstream education, attaches importance to students' all-round development, and combines OM activities with quality education that focuses on cultivating students' innovative spirit and practical ability to improve students' innovative consciousness, practical ability, unity and cooperation ability. The school's om activities have also developed from single participation in the annual OM competition to the direction of paying equal attention to popularization and competition, and from simple extracurricular activities to both extracurricular and in-class activities. In order to let more students exercise and improve their creativity and practical ability from om activities, according to the spirit of the second phase of curriculum reform and the needs of curriculum reform, the school gradually popularized OM activity courses and opened OM courses in the second grade, which not only enriched students' study life, but also promoted their study better. After being admitted to high school, the OM team members of the school are still the main force of the school OM team, and some of them also participated in the world competitions in the United States on behalf of China. In addition to OM winning numerous awards in China, China's early robots and car models also performed well in competitions in various cities and districts. The school choir also won the second prize of the 4th Shanghai Student Art Festival.
