This is a recording technology, which is different from others.
Developed jointly by Sony and Philips. This technology uses 1 bit A/D converter and sigma/delta modulator to realize recording or coding. The sampling frequency of DSD system is 2 .8224mhz, which is 64 times higher than that of traditional CD (44. 1 khz). This frequency means that quantization is processed at a speed of 2,822,400 times per second, and then 1 bit data is recorded on the record. Although the number of bits used in CD system is only116, the data capacity of DSD is four times that of CD because the sampling frequency is 64 times higher. Theoretically, the frequency range can be extended to about 1.4mhz, so that the overall sound effect is improved.
At the same time, due to the development of the so-called "noise shaping circuit" in DSD technology, the noise in the audible frequency band (0 ~ 20kHz) can be further transferred to the super audio frequency range above 20kHz, so that the signal-to-noise ratio of DSD CD can be as high as 120dB.
