PRP (platelet-rich plasma) means platelet-rich plasma or plasma rich in growth factors in Chinese. PRP technology refers to using your own blood to extract plasma rich in high concentration of platelets and various self-growth factors. These factors play an extremely important role in promoting wound healing, cell proliferation and differentiation and tissue formation. Previously, PRP was mainly used in surgery, cardiac surgery and burn department to cure large-scale burns, chronic ulcers and limb ulcers that could not be cured before. PRP technology was first applied to oral surgery by Dr. Robert Marx in 1998, which is the earliest medical literature record. In 2009, tiger woods, an American golfer, also received PRP treatment for his injury.
