Gansu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was renamed from Gansu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It was founded in 1978 and approved by the Ministry of Education in 20 15. It is located in Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province. The school has trained more than 30,000 qualified professionals in Chinese medicine and related fields for the society, and made due contributions to the medical and health undertakings and economic and social development in Gansu.

There are 457 full-time teachers and 8,075 full-time students, including 44 graduate students, 7,608 undergraduates and 26 international students.
