How many ways are there to graft peach trees? There are two kinds, namely branch grafting and bud grafting.

Peach trees can be grafted and propagated, and the time is generally selected from July to August. Peach or peach seedlings are mostly used as breeding rootstocks, and the survival rate of branch grafting and bud grafting is high.

Grafting: March when the buds have begun to sprout. Cutting is commonly used, and it is better to use one or two-year-old seedlings as rootstocks.

Bud grafting: it is carried out in July and August, and "D" grafting is often used. Rootstocks should be full-year-old seedlings.

Before grafting peach trees, we should make up for the commonly used grafting tools.

1. Blade: a double-sided blade for general shaving. When grafting, it is broken in half, which not only saves the blade, but also facilitates the operation.

2. Bamboo stick: one is used to insert a jack on the rootstock, the thickness is the same as that of the young stem of the scion seedling, and one end is cut into a wedge shape. The thickness of the other end is not strict, and one end is cut into a single wedge to pick out the growing point of the pumpkin when docking.

3. Grafting clamp: used to fix scion and rootstock. There are two kinds of grafting clips on the market, one is eggplant grafting clip and the other is melon grafting clip.

Peach tree grafting should pay attention to the following points;

1. Choose peach rootstock and scion with strong affinity. Generally speaking, the closer the kinship, the stronger the affinity and the higher the grafting survival rate.

2. Choose peach rootstocks and scions with strong vitality. The vitality is related to the nutrients accumulated in the vegetative organs of rootstocks and scions. The more nutrients accumulated by vegetative organs, the stronger their vitality.
