What does LCM mean?
LCM(LCD Module), namely LCD display module and liquid crystal module, refers to the assembly of LCD devices, connectors, peripheral circuits such as control and drive, PCB circuit board, backlight and structural parts.

LCM provides users with standard LCD display driver interfaces (4-bit, 8-bit, VGA and other different types). Users can operate according to the interface requirements and control LCD display correctly. Compared with glass, LCM is a more integrated liquid crystal product. For small-size LCD, LCM can be easily connected with various microcontrollers (such as single chip microcomputer). However, for large-size or color liquid crystal displays, it usually takes up a considerable part of the resources of the control system or cannot be controlled at all. For example, a color LCM with 320×240 256 colors is displayed at a speed of 20 fields per second (that is, 1 second refreshes the full screen 20 times). The amount of data transmitted in one second is as high as 320× 240× 8× 20 =11.71875 MB or 1.465MB. If the standard MCS-5 1 series single chip microcomputer is used to process the data, it is assumed that the MOVX instruction is reused.

The resolution of fax is also the scanning density. The higher the resolution, the higher the scanning accuracy. It can be divided into vertical resolution and horizontal resolution. Vertical resolution refers to the number of pixels displayed per millimeter on vertical horizontal lines, and horizontal resolution refers to the number of pixels displayed per millimeter on parallel horizontal lines. According to the international standard of three types of fax machines, the horizontal resolution is 8 pixels /mm, so the resolution of fax machines is generally expressed as 8 pixels /mm× vertical pixel/mm. Generally, we will omit the horizontal resolution and only use the vertical resolution to express the resolution. There are three vertical resolutions: standard 3.85 pixels /mm, fine 7.7 pixels /mm, ultra-fine 15.4 pixels/mm.
